Angela Hassab  B. A. (Psych.), M. App. Psych. -  Psychologist / Director

Angela is responsible for overseeing the delivery of professional services by all Consultants at Axis Injury Management and manages return to work programs for clients with a psychological injury in both Same Employer and New Employer areas.  Angela is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA, is a Full Member of the Australian Psychological Society, a Member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors, accredited with Comcare and registered to provide psychological treatment services under icare and Medicare.



James Hill  B. Health Sc., M. Rehab Counselling  -  Rehabilitation Counsellor

James is an RCAA-accredited Rehabilitation Counsellor with over 20 years' experience in workplace rehabilitation and human resource management across a range of industries. James holds both undergraduate and Masters level qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling and has lectured in the School of Rehabilitation Counselling at the University of Sydney. He has extensive experience working with clients with diverse and complex needs, as well as strong skills in case management. James has an in-depth understanding of the workplace rehabilitation industry and relevant legislation.  




Julie Thompson B. Hlth Sc. (OT) Hons; Grad Cert Ergonomics Occupational Therapist

Julie has has extensive experience working with physical and psychological injuries and has completed training in the management of individuals with diagnoses of PTSD, Depression and Anxiety.  Julie is a Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA, a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and an Associate Member of the Australian Occupational Therapy Society.  Julie is trained in FIM, CTP and Lifetime Care and Support Assessments.




Joshua Deegan B.Occ.Therapy (Hons); Dip. Fitness- Occupational Therapist

Joshua has worked across community support, personal training and corporate health consulting roles. He is a qualified WorkHab functional capacity assessor and has a strong interest in conducting complex case management for both physical and psychological injuries across all legislative environments. He is Comcare-accredited and has delivered evidence-based assistance to a large number of veterans under the DVA scheme.   




Tara Gretton B.Occ.Therapy  -  Occupational Therapist

Tara has extensive experience working with physical injuries and completing Ergonomic, Activities of Daily Living and Workplace assessments. Tara has provided workplace rehabilitation services both within a provider setting and within a self-insurer (heavy industry) setting. She is a Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA and is accredited with Comcare.  Tara is experienced in the provision of Functional Capacity Evaluations (WorkHab); Manual Handling and Ergonomic Training; pre-employment screening and case management services




Trudi Henry B.Hlth. Sc. (OT)  -  Occupational Therapist

Trudi has extensive experience completing Activities of Daily Living Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Workplace Assessments.  She is a skilled provider of Manual Handling Training and is also accredited as a Return to Work Coordinator trainer.  Trudi specialises in the management of Same Employer return to work programs for people with physical injuries as well as performing in-house relief Return to Work Coordination for Employers.  Trudi is a Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA, is also accredited with Comcare and trained in CTP service provision.




Stephanie Hunter B. Psych (Hons)  -  Psychologist 

Stephanie is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA, a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and is also registered with Comcare. She is skilled in a range of therapeutic interventions for psychological conditions including the management of anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse and pain management. She is skilled in psychological assessment and has worked as an Assessor for the National Panel of Assessors conducting Ongoing Support, Workplace Modifications Scheme, and Supported Wage Scheme Assessments. She provides RTW Case Management services and conducts Vocational Assessments and Voactional Counselling services. 




Belinda Foote - Job Placement Consultant

Belinda is a Job Placement Consultant who has unparalleled experience in the provision of employment services. She has worked with both private and community-based organisations to deliver employment assistance to clients in the Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast areas. Belinda has a unique understanding of local labour market issues facing job seekers and has assisted hundreds of injured workers to find new employment.




Nicole Hooper B. Hlth. Sc. (OT)  -  Occupational Therapist

Nicole has a broad range of experience working for self-insurers and TMF employers as an in-house Injury Management Adviser and RTW Coordinator. She has a particular interest in the prevention and management of manual handling injuries. Nicole provides Ergonomic Assessments, Activities of Daily Living and Workplace assessments. 




Kate Passafaro B. OHS, Grad Dip Rehab Clng  -  Rehabilitation Counsellor

Kate is a Rehabilitation Counsellor with extensive experience within the workers compensation and rehabilitation industry. Kate is a full Member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors. Kate works with complex cases and has a strong knowledge base in both physical and psychological injuries for Same and New Employer Return To Work Programs. She is a skilled communicator and has completed training in negotiation and conflict resolution.  She has a particular interest in working with veterans.




Sharon Smith B. A., G.Dip Health Sc.  -  Rehabilitation Counsellor

Sharon is a Rehabilitation Counsellor with extensive experience in delivering expert rehabilitation services and claims management to injured workers, employers and insurers. She is a full member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors and has completed undergraduate studies in Psychology and has post graduate qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling. Sharon provides Same and New Employer services for both physical and psychological injury management and rehabilitation. 








Brodie Mison B. Psych., M. Rehab Counselling -  Rehabilitation Counsellor

Brodie is a Rehabilitation Counsellor with undergraduate qualifications in Psychology and Masters level qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling. She has several years' experience in community rehabilitation settings assisting individuals to reach their goals and live independently. She has also worked with jobseekers to build skills and gain experience in the open labour market. Brodie is a full member of ASORC.



Cindy Wang - BMedia(Hons), MIL, MIR, GDipPsych(Adv), Assc MAPS, MAAPi - Rehabilitation Counsellor / Provisional Psychologist 

Cindy has postgraduate qualifications in psychology, law and international relations. She has a background in senior roles in international affairs and defence and has extensive experience in negotiation and leadership. She is completing the requirements for full registration as a Psychologist.      


Heidi Poole B. Hlth Sc. (OT), M. HRM & IR  -  Occupational Therapist

Heidi is a skilled practitioner having worked for many years in the management of workplace injuries and human resource management in NSW and Victoria. She specialises in strategic case management and complex psychological injury management and prevention. She has worked in all aspects of human resources including recruitment, performance and grievance management, and workplace investigations.  


Rebecca Brewster - B.A. (Psych.) - Rehabilitation Counsellor

Rebecca is an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor and Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society with wide-ranging skills in assessment and intervention with people affected by illness and disability. She has significant experience in behaviour therapy and community interventions and has a strong emphasis on action to achieve client outcomes.


Charmaine Arkley B. Psych (Hons) - Rehabilitation Counsellor

Charmaine is a member of the Member of the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors and conducts vocational assessments and provides rehabilitation counselling services to our clients.

Scot is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. He is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
