Supporting the Family of an Injured Worker
When a person is injured in the workplace, there are many impacts for the individual.
These impacts include the flow on effects that are experienced by those close to the injured worker (eg symptoms of depression, symptoms of anxiety, adjustment issues).
Axis Injury Management provides support to injured workers in their workplace including those who have have been psychologically injured.
The Psychologists at Axis Injury Management are also accredited to provide Focussed Psychological Strategies under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care program. Any person who has seen their General Practitioner and has been provided with a Mental Health Treatment Plan can see one of our Psychologists and will only pay a gap fee.
If, as the injured worker, you are concerned that the mental health of your partner / family / friend has been negatively impacted by your situation, encourage them to see their Doctor and get a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Then your partner / family / friend can contact Axis Injury Management and make an appointment with one of our Psychologists – appointments are often available within the following day of an enquiry.
